Spend an afternoon setting this up and you’ll get a one-page personalized digest every morning that gets sharper every time you star something. Built for clinicians, operators, and anyone who’s stopped reading because there’s too much of it.
I posted a Note last week asking what clinicians were building with Claude Cowork and the responses were awesome. I plan to feature some of the “Claude Clinic” use cases in an upcoming article. The most common answer, by a wide margin both on substack and Roon, was some flavor of personal digest. A system that compounds the right information over time so you can scan five things in the morning instead of fifty.
That matches my experience. The thing Claude Cowork is uniquely good at is compounding context: keeping a running record of what you’ve cared about, and letting that record sharpen what surfaces tomorrow. By week three, the system can get good enough to know what you care about, and then you have a personalized newsletter on steroids.
Every morning my Claude co-work makes me a one-page digest with the five best new items across pillars of Techy Surgeon, RevelAi Health and my Duke academic role. One of the cool thing is this 3D knowledge graph to see the constellation your reading life makes.
(My only working regret is that OpenEvidence and Doximity Ask don’t have an MCP yet. If it did, I’d daisy-chain clinical search into the same pipeline. C’est la vie.)
Below I’ll show you the steps to create your own similar AI powered personal digest, share a few files that should kick you off including a claude skill to make future offshoot knowledge graph artifacts, and highlight the pitfalls I ran into building mine. You’ll connect three MCPs, paste two prompts, upload some files, approve two scheduled tasks and you should be off to the races. The whole setup shouldn’t take more than a few hours, and it’s been a great way for me to track knowledge longitudinally. I also have a plugin
This is also a great workflow to pair with my NotebookLM workflow, since the compounding articles and URLs can flow directly into a NotebookLM for you to query the data in a conversational interface, or share the resource over time with colleagues.
The NotebookLM Learner Pack Tutorial Part 2: From Zero to Working Notebook in 20 Minutes
A follow-up to the original Learner Pack post. Four short videos inside the article; one copy-paste prompt at the end.
What you’ll have when this is done:
A one-page daily digest in your browser — five best items, ranked
A 3D constellation of everything you’ve read, color-coded by pillar
A live Cowork sidebar artifact you can pull up in a single click
A Google Sheet on your phone for when you’re walking the dog
